Co-founder of Principal Chambers, Russell Burton, is a senior barristers' clerk with over 20 years experience in chambers administration, business development and client service. As a self-employed clerk, he has the added advantage over many other clerks of being able to adopt an impartial approach with a particular eye on ensuring the highest standards of service are provided to our clients.
His lengthy career has given him unique experience in clerking a broad range of different areas of law and he is proficient in placing particular barristers for particular cases. The one glove fits all approach is not the approach that he uses.
He has a particular interest in alternative business structures and new and innovative ways of working for the Bar and as a consequence he is actively committed to raising public awareness of direct access to the Bar through the Public Access route.
